What is the Incident Command System (ICS) and why does it matter?
ICS is a standardised, scalable framework for managing emergencies, defining roles, responsibilities and communication lines so that response stays coordinated under pressure. We implement ICS at your sites and integrate it with corporate crisis governance, so decision-making is clear from the frontline to the boardroom.
What is the difference between emergency management and business continuity?
Emergency management focuses on the immediate response to an incident, protecting people and containing harm. Business continuity focuses on keeping, or quickly restoring, critical operations during and after disruption. Both are essential, and we plan for them together so response and recovery are aligned.
What does an Emergency Response Team (ERT) framework include?
An ERT framework covers team structure, roles, training and competency standards, equipment, activation and escalation procedures, and a program of scenario-based exercises to keep the capability credible and tested under realistic conditions.
How often should emergency plans be exercised?
As a general rule, key scenarios should be exercised at least annually, with more frequent drills for high-consequence risks and after any material change to the operation. We design and facilitate exercises, then deliver post-exercise reviews and improvement plans.
